CHRISTMAS CARDS TO THE COMMUNITY
CCC art program began 32 years ago to create a unique opportunity for highlighting the creative talents of local school students. We give participating schools a 4′x8′ piece of plywood to make their masterpiece on. The cards are judged by area artists and business people. Awards are given to First, Second and Third places in Elementary, Middle and High School divisions. A Best of Show is also awarded.

KEY DATES
August 1:Â Distribution of entry packets to Bossier, Caddo and DeSoto schools.Â
August 30, 5 PM:Â Deadline for entries to qualify for FREE sheet of plywood. Caddo Parish School Board Warehouse picks up wood and delivers to participating schools.Â
September 3-6:Â Plywood available for pick up.Â
November 4-7: Caddo and Bossier Parish School Board Warehouses pick up completed cards and delivers to ARC.Â
November 8, 5 PM:Â Drop off deadline. Cards received after this date are accepted, but not eligible for judging. Please drop off cards at Administration Building in back of American Rose Center. Please sign that you have dropped it off.Â
November 14-15:Â Card judging at the American Rose Center.Â
November 18:Â Card winners notified, invited to reception.Â
November 21: Card Winner Reception. Please RSVP by Nov. 16, 4 PM. Guests must RSVP to beth@rose.orgÂ
November 21: Card winners announced at www.christmasinroseland.org and via email to winners, press release to local and regional press outlets.Â
December 13: People’s Choice Winner announced at www.christmasinroseland.org and via email to winners, press release to local and regional press outlets.Â
January 6-10, 2024:Â Cards may be retrieved at the American Rose Center. Please sign that you have picked up your card. Cards not retrieved by 1/10/24 will be used for projects at ARC.Â
