Welcome to the

 American Rose Society

est. 1892

The American Rose Society mission is to promote the culture, preservation, and appreciation of the Rose and to improve its standard of excellence for all people, through education and research. Today there are over 14K members across the country who enjoy learning and sharing their rose experiences and knowledge with others.  We do that through our local rose societies, rose shows, educational programs, social media, horticulture partners and the Rose Forum.

Our headquarters, located in Shreveport, LA, is situated on 118 acres that includes America’s Rose Garden.  The Garden includes a beautiful rose garden featuring thousands of roses, an International rose trial garden, and the largest collection of Rambler Roses in the United States.  The gardens and facilities host events and weddings throughout the year.

Roses In Review

Participate in the 99th time Roses in Review has been conducted!

This will be the 99th time Roses in Review will be conducted in which rose growers everywhere can review new roses they’ve grown in their own garden.

Roses included in the survey have generally been on the market one to four years and are available commercially, although some on a limited basis.

Deadline to rate roses is September 26, 2024.
